I have used J.F. Improvements many times over several years for an 18 family apartment building and certainly would use John again. He did exceptional work regarding tearing down water damaged bathroom walls and redoing with new tiles. Additionally he has done replacing bathroom sinks, faucets, ceiling tiles, woodwork and electrical work for me. All this to my satisfaction.

He has gone the extra mile making repairs better when he himself was not satisfied. I also found him to be cordial and polite.

We hired J.F. Improvements in 2010 to renovate a 12 foot by 12 foot breezeway,  which is a room connecting our garage to our home. They installed all new drywall, windows, doors and ceramic tile floor. The quality of their workmanship far exceeded our expectations. In 2011 we had them install a new entry door, storm door and ceramic tile on foyer floor. This year we had them remodel our kitchen.

John was very professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent job of communication with us during all of our projects. Any unforeseen problems that came up during the course of the remodels John was quickly to address. We are very pleased with the quality of J.F. Improvements work and have received many compliments about it. We would definitely recommend them and plan on using their services in the future.

I have been with J.F. Improvements since 1995. I usually will use the company two to three times a year. I like older homes and live in one now. Because of that there are always updates, repairs and changes that need to be done. I have used J.F. Improvements ranging from exterior painting to the renovation of entire homes. I have owned investment property in the City of Milwaukee and would like to say that the homes were greatly improved when I sold them over than when I bought them. J.F. Improvements is a major reason for that.

Prior to using J.F. Improvements I had the classical experience of dealing with contractors who wouldn’t show up, who went to get “supplies” and retuned may be a week later, who gave a quote and once the job started discovered it wasn’t enough to cover the problem. I would sometimes have to complain about the poor workmanship and shoddy materials. I have even dealt with losers who don’t have transportation and need to be paid in cash. This is not an issue with J.F. Improvement. There is constant communication regarding start times, completion times and any interruptions regarding scheduling. The owner discusses the cost of materials and is very good in reusing existing supplies. The job is complete on time and at a fair price. There is never a problem with the quality of the work or the professionalism in the way it is completed.

I have no problem in completely trusting this company and having them work on projects in my home when I’m not around. Another plus is that the owner is not a smoker. My wife is even completely comfortable with having J.F. Improvement do the work, so for all the above reasons I don’t even take bids. I just let J.F. Improvement take care of it. Since 2010 we have had J.F. Improvements remodel both of our bathrooms, install tile in our Kitchen, Paint the exterior of our home, and several rooms in the house as well as numerous other repairs.
